Dr. Phil Graves

Dad, mad scientist, werewolf
Tall and lanky, Phil Graves is the premier alchemical engineer of his generation. He is a popular professor at a prestigious university, a prodigious and wealthy inventor, and an all-around All-American family man with 2.5 kids and a lawn that needs mowing. He also happens to be a randomly transforming werewolf.

Born to human parents in a world of enchantment, he was almost disablingly normal in a world of fantastic creatures. When his father walked out on him and his mother, young Phil sought some way to be exceptional, and he excelled in school. Graves shunned magic—the eldritch siren song that called his father away—and focused on what was real: the material world and the hard science that is alchemy.

​Now in the grip of an unpredictable werewolf curse, he’s afraid he’s repeating the mistakes of his father. He’s afraid he’ll lose his family.
